The United States Air Force continued its year-long celebration of its 60th Anniversary at the Pope AFB/Ft. Bragg Open House on October 6-7, 2007.

These are images from the 2007 NAS Oceana Air Show held at the Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach. Performances by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, Skip Stewart, Steve Oliver, Bill Leff, the Geico Skytypers, Manfred Radius and more. There were a variety of planes from F/A-18 Hornets and Super Hornets, the E-2C Hawkeye, the F-15 Eagle, the F-22 Raptor, a large-formation “Fleet Flyby” and the dramatic Air Power Demonstration.

Renaissance Faire (Ren Faire or just Faire) is an amalgam of many things. Its partly a craft fair, its partly historical reenactment, its partly performance art. Everyone working at Faire dresses in costumes (or garb) typical of the late Elizabethan period. There are many booths selling both crafts and food. Parades wind their way through the crowds. Jugglers, musicians, magicians, and other entertainers perform through the day. You wander about, examining goods for sale, sampling foods, watching plays and performers, and of course drinking fyne English Ale.

Jousting Knights & Steeds

The Hanlon-Lees Action Theatre brings alive the spectacle and pageantry of the chivalric age. Knights in shining armor perform in a 3-part display of daring deeds of bravery and skill including a realistic recreation of a joust to the death.
